Student answer (Band 5.0)

IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD GIRLS AND BOYS ARE EDUCTAED TOGETHER IN UNIVERSITY , SOME INDIVIDUALS THINK THAT BOTH GAIN BENEFIT FROM BEING EDUCATED DFFERENT SCHOOLS . I PARTIALY AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT BECAUSE THEY GAIN CONFIDENCE AND PREPARE FUTURE CAREERS .

ON THE ONE HAND, SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD GIRLS AND BOYS ARE EDUCTAED TOGETHER IN CO-EDUCATIONAL . STUDENTS GAIN CONFIDENCE . WHEN THEY LERAN AT IN CO -EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTAION THEY DEVELOP VALUABLE SKILLS . SCHOLARS LEARN HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER . FOR INSTANCE , THEY WORK IN INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES WHERE THEY DEAL WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE . AS A RESULT , MIXED SCHOOLS TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO ADAPT IN THE WORKING ENVIRNOMENT .

ON THE OTHER HAND , SOME INDIVIDUALS BELIEVE THAT OTH GENDERS GAIN BENEFIT FROM BEING EDUCATED SEPARATELY WITHOUT CO-EDUCATION SYSTEM . THIS MEANS THAT STUDENTS MAINALY FOCUS ON THEIR STUDIES AND THEY DONOT INVOLVE OTHER ACTIVITIES . IN ADDITION , TEACHERS GIVE LEACTURES EASILY AND TEACH SAME GENDERS . FOR EXAMPLE , GIRLS AND BOYS LEARN DIFFERENT INSTITUATE AND GAIN MANY OPPORTUNITY . THEY ASK ANY QUESTION EASILY AT THE CLASSROOM WITHOUT ANY HESITATION .THEREFORE , STUDENTS ACHIEVE MORE FREEDOM AND GO ANYWHRE IN THE SCHOOLS .

IN CONCLUSION , BOTH PERSPECTIVES ARE VALID , BUT I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT STUDENTS GAIN KNOWEDGE AND COMPLETE THEIR STUDIES IN CO-EDUCATION SYSTEM BECAUSE THEY DEVELOPNEW SKILLS AND ALSO KNOW HOW TO MANAGE AND TALK WITHOTHER INDIVIDUALS . ALTHOUGH, SEPARATE EDUCATIN DEPARTMENT ALSO BENEFICIAL FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS BECAUSE THEY COMPLETELY CONCENTRATION ON THEIR ACADEMIC STUDIES AND GAIN FREEDOM FR ASKING QUESTIONS AND TAKE CLAASSES ANYWHRE IN THE SCHOOLS .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a relevant, partly balanced response and state a position: “I partially agree,” later favouring co-education while acknowledging benefits of separate schools. The discussion of communication skills and confidence in mixed settings is relevant, as is the point that students may feel freer to ask questions in single-sex classes. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening supports separate education, while the conclusion strongly favours co-education. Several claims are also unclear or insufficiently explained, such as teachers finding it easier to teach “same genders” and students gaining freedom to “go anywhere” in school. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or specific example, and maintain one precise position throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or connected mechanically. The first body paragraph repeats the prompt’s point about co-education before moving to confidence and workplace communication; the link between these ideas could be made more direct. In the second paragraph, the claims about focusing on studies, teachers, opportunities and freedom do not form a clear sequence. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then explain and support it in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “valuable skills,” “communicate” and “academic studies,” so the reader can identify the subject and main ideas. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making meaning unclear. Examples include “gain benefit,” “different schools,” “working environment” (used where a more precise phrase is needed), and “go anywhere in the schools.” Spelling errors such as “knowedge,” “envrinoment” and “opportunity” also reduce accuracy. Build a reliable set of phrases for comparing school systems and describing outcomes, and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would help you express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “students” and “gain.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “because they develop new skills” and “although separate education … also beneficial.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “When they learn at in co-educational institution” has an unclear sentence pattern, while “students mainly focus on their studies and they do not involve other activities” has an incorrect verb construction. The conclusion also contains incomplete or poorly connected clauses, such as “Although, separate education department also beneficial.” Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, prepositions, verb patterns and punctuation. Aim to make each sentence express one complete, clearly linked idea.
