Student answer (Band 5.0)

As i know that in many parts of the world girls and boys are educated together in same school and same class. But some people think that girls and boys benefit from being educated spatately in single sex schools. like there should be a school for only one specific gender or in that same school there should be diffrent time for single sex.

I would prefer that to sent students to single sex schools, because there are so many advantages from that like girls insecuritys, prevent from boys misbehaving like in lot of schoole where boys and girls study together they have group of freinds with mix gender so in that boys start to tease or do something which would hurt the girls unintentionally, distraction by opposite genders which is bad at very young age, also in mix gender schools there are no facilities for women in specific sports like swimming and womens related sports, also they are not aware of such sports facilities which are ment for womens, and more.

Also one of the biggest disadvantage i would see that boys are too much depended on girls for notes and for study materials because girls are sicnere and kind so they help boys which cause a lot of torubles in future as boy become depended on that girls for all the study materials and notes.

I completely agree to have a sperate sex schools so each gender get there that type of enviorments where they are ment for, like in sports, study and more other things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear preference for single-sex education, stating, “I would prefer” it and later, “I completely agree.” You also offer relevant reasons, including possible teasing, distraction, and access to sports facilities. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: several claims are asserted rather than explained, and the point about boys relying on girls for notes is not clearly connected to the benefits of separate schooling. The opening also introduces different arrangements without developing them. The response contains 233 words, so it is 17 words below the required minimum; the 24 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop two or three relevant reasons with explanation or examples, and ensure the response meets the minimum length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your position and the main supporting points. However, the overall progression is limited, and the first body paragraph combines several ideas—safety, distraction, and sports—into one long sentence, making their relationships difficult to follow. Linking is also repetitive, particularly through “also,” “like,” and “because.” The final paragraph repeats your agreement but does not summarise the reasons in a developed way. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain it in a clear sequence, and use a wider range of accurate links between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “single sex schools,” “distraction,” “sports facilities,” and “study materials.” These choices make your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “same school,” “girls and boys,” and “also.” Frequent spelling errors—including “spatately,” “diffrent,” “freinds,” and “enviorments”—and inaccurate word forms or collocations such as “girls insecuritys” and “depended on girls” sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, you could describe concerns about “harassment” or “gender-specific facilities” rather than relying on broad or unclear wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and your position can generally be understood. However, the range of structures is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentences. For example, “I would prefer that to sent students” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “so each gender get there that type of enviorments” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “in same school” and “girls insecuritys.” Punctuation is weak in the long sentence beginning “because there are so many advantages,” which contains several points without clear boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
