Student answer (Band 5.5)

İn my opinion girls and boys should educate together in co education system. İn learning in a same class give both genders much more space to work and create together despite of bounding to just girls or just boys. They can help each other in growth and creation.

for example: in present time men and women work together worldwide to drive the world. Not a single profession just bound men or women to stick to it. İn taking my art classes in art academy we work together, create and inspire each other, learned different ideas and also understand each others perspectives.

in a single classroom each person whether it is a girl or a boy has its own mentality and thinking. This gives opportunity to both genders to broader their own thinking by taking ideas from each others.

İn school in my opinion co education should be mandatory because it will build the confidence of both genders to speak fully without hesitation. they will not see each others as aliens but participate together and support each other fully. İn a class were creativity, support and growth welcome each gender will create an environment beyond thinking.

in coeducational system students has also opportunities to learn from both gender's teachers.

But the other side of coeducational system is both genders has natural attraction towards each others. in some cases they just not learn together but can also deeply involved in inappropriate behaviour. Because of this side sometimes it make difficult for both genders to learn in coeducational system and some people think it is not better for girls and boys to study in mixed schools.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you support co-education, and you give relevant reasons, including cooperation, confidence and learning from different perspectives. The art-academy example adds personal support, while the final paragraph acknowledges the concern about attraction and inappropriate behaviour. However, the response addresses the opposing view only briefly and does not explain when or why single-sex education might benefit students. Several supporting claims, such as co-education being “mandatory” and students learning from teachers of both genders, are asserted rather than developed. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of your examples and respond directly to the advantages of separate schooling, while maintaining your position consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The ideas are grouped into a broadly understandable sequence: your position and benefits come first, followed by a counterpoint. Examples such as working together in art classes help connect a reason to personal experience. However, progression within the body is not always clear: the points about confidence, classroom thinking and teachers appear as separate claims without enough explanation of how they build the argument. Linking phrases are limited, and the final paragraph introduces the opposing view but ends without a clear conclusion that returns to your position. Use distinct paragraphs for the main benefits, the counterargument and your conclusion, and connect each point with precise transitions and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “co-educational system,” “perspectives,” “confidence” and “inappropriate behaviour,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “bounding to just girls or just boys” and “broader their own thinking” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “deeply involved” is also vague in this context. Repetition of “both genders” and “each other” further limits flexibility. Build a more precise range for discussing collaboration, social development and potential distractions, and check spelling and word forms such as “co-education.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “Because of this side,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur frequently: “students has,” “both genders has,” and “we work together … learned” do not maintain correct forms. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “in a same class give both genders,” while several sentences begin with lowercase letters after full stops. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning can usually be recovered. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete sentence structures and consistent verb forms before adding more complex clauses; careful proofreading for capitals and punctuation will also improve clarity.
