Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response makes a limited attempt to address the question, but its position is difficult to identify consistently. The opening mentions the benefits of separate schooling, yet the claim “this is my point a view separately schools in benefit” is unclear, and the conclusion does not clearly state how far you agree. Most supporting points are too vague to explain the advantages of single-sex education or compare it with mixed schools; for example, the reference to “boys and girls separately schools and collage, universtiy” does not develop a relevant reason. The response also falls three words short of the required 250 words; the nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, state your position directly and support it with specific, explained examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an opening, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and transitions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” show awareness of paragraph structure. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the first paragraph moves between mixed schools, separate schools and general effects without explaining their relationship, while the second shifts to government, parents and the education system. Several references, including “this issue” and “the situation,” have no clear antecedent, so the reader cannot easily follow the argument. Build each paragraph around one main point, connect each example directly to it, and use linking phrases only where they express a clear relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response attempts vocabulary relevant to education, including “co-educational,” “single sex schools,” “education system” and “responsible decisions.” However, the range is often repetitive or imprecise, and several word combinations make the intended meaning difficult to understand, such as “study crowded in mixed schools” and “separately way to improve the soluation.” Spelling errors such as “universtiy” and “insititue” also reduce accuracy. These issues limit the clarity and flexibility of the vocabulary, even though the general topic can sometimes be inferred. Aim to learn accurate collocations for discussing schooling and use precise terms for the benefits or drawbacks you mean; check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “The important point is that…” and a conditional structure with “If students…”. However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent, and many sentences are difficult to parse. For example, “The main reasons is that co- educational study in benefit or separately in single schools benefit” has problems with agreement and clause construction, while “If students currently the degree program full finished” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Articles, plurals and verb forms also need attention. Practise writing complete subject–verb–object sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate clauses. Read each sentence aloud and check that its subject and main verb are clear.
