Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people argue that co-eduction should be removed from socitey and single-sex schools should be established for learning purposes. I totally disagree with this point.
To begin wih, the first and foremost purpose of education is to provides knowledge about basic ethics, cultural diversity and religion. One should respect this. Young generation having this knowledge will respect each other. Therefore, they can easliy adjust in mixed schools system. Furthermore, co-education offers real world advantages. For instance, mixed classroom combines multiple views and ideas. It helps in better understanding of the subjects. Moreover, it build strong communication skills and professionalism with other classmates.
Although co-education provides diverse experience, it may not allign with the religious values of various countries; for example, islamic countires do not incorporate this system in their countries due to their religious restrictions. One should understand and accept that.
To sum up, co-education comes with number of opportunity, nevertheless religious reasons should be accepted.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the opening: “I totally disagree,” and you give relevant reasons, including the value of learning to communicate with different classmates. However, the response addresses the question only partially because the main benefits are asserted rather than explained with specific reasoning or examples. The point about religious restrictions introduces a qualification, but it is not reconciled with your stated disagreement, so your extent of agreement becomes less clear in the conclusion. The response also contains 156 words, below the required 250, leaving too little space to develop the argument. To strengthen the response, explain how mixed schooling prepares students for adult life, support this with a concrete example, and clarify whether religious concerns change your overall position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph acknowledging religious concerns, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: several claims are placed one after another without showing clearly how they support your position. The shift from strongly disagreeing to saying religious reasons “should be accepted” also leaves the relationship between your ideas unclear. Develop each main point in a fuller sequence—claim, explanation, and example—and use the conclusion to restate your position consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “co-education,” “religious values,” “cultural diversity,” and “communication skills,” so the reader can follow the subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “real world advantages” and “professionalism.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy: “co-eduction,” “socitey,” “easliy,” and “allign.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “provides diverse experience” and “comes with number of opportunity.” Aim to use a wider set of precise terms for educational benefits and social interaction, and check spelling and collocations carefully. These improvements would make your argument sound more natural and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause beginning “Although co-education provides…” and a cause-and-effect sentence introduced by “Therefore.” Most sentences communicate a basic meaning, but errors in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction are noticeable. For example, “the purpose of education is to provides” uses the wrong verb form after “to,” while “it build strong communication skills” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “Young generation having this knowledge will respect each other” is also an incomplete or awkwardly constructed clause. Practise accurate infinitives, singular and plural agreement, and complete sentence patterns. Greater control of these structures would make your reasoning easier to follow.
