Student answer (Band 5.0)

In some regions throughout the world male and female learning toagther in co-education or combined schools. Many persons argue that its essential for both boys and girls to manage their study in separate instition. I firmly agree that separat schools offer more benefits than co-education.

Firstly, male and female both are different genders and they attracted to one another, it whould definitely create negative impact on their study as well as may create problems. Two different genders allow to learn in under one floor might be strictly prohibited because it provides both physical and mental health issues for students, such as it would arise distraction in the study and fewer of concentration to study. For example, mainly male and femal chat with one another rather then study.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear position—“I firmly agree”—and give one relevant reason: that interaction between boys and girls may distract them from studying. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. It does not explain other possible benefits of single-sex education, compare these with co-education, or develop the example beyond saying that students may chat. The claim about “physical and mental health issues” is also unclear and unsupported. The response is 127 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words. To strengthen your answer, develop at least two relevant reasons, explain how each supports your view, and include a specific example or acknowledge a counterargument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: an introductory paragraph gives your position, and “Firstly” signals the start of a supporting point. The reader can follow the general idea that social interaction may distract students. However, the response ends after this single point, so there is no clear overall progression or conclusion. Connections within the body paragraph are also difficult to follow, particularly the move from attraction to “physical and mental health issues” and then to concentration. Develop each point in a separate paragraph and use clear cause-and-effect links, such as explaining how distraction affects learning. A concluding sentence that restates your position would also help the response feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “co-education,” “separate,” “distraction,” and “concentration,” which helps communicate your main concern. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate or awkward choices make parts of the argument difficult to understand. For example, “manage their study in separate instition” does not clearly express the idea of attending separate schools, while “fewer of concentration” is not a natural phrase. There are also spelling errors such as “toagther,” “whould,” and “femal.” Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing education and learning, and check spelling and collocations carefully so your ideas are expressed clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and a longer sentence explaining a possible consequence, and your position is understandable. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “male and female learning together” lacks a finite verb, and “they attracted to one another” is missing the auxiliary “are.” The sentence beginning “Two different genders allow to learn” also has an unclear subject and faulty verb pattern. There are problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries as well. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “which,” or “although.”
