Student answer (Band 5.5)

Co-education is very common throughout the world. There is a opinion that girls and boys need to study in separate schools for better education. Honestly, I am completely disagree with this opinion. Although i think co-education has many benefits for both genders.

Firstly, it is normal that humans can feel hesitate from each other especially the opposite gender. To overcome this mixed schools are very beneficial. For instance, on work places men and women work together and complete different tasks together. Those employs who already have a interaction with opposite sexs they can work very comfortably with each other than the people who study in single-sex schools. So, co-education gave us a huge edge to deal with the other gender.

Secondly, men learn alot of things from women related to household things, same as the women familiar with different things associated with society. Such as, does not talk with the badboys who are on drugs and man know about cooking from woman. Well, both gender give benefits to each other in various ways.

I must want that we need to aware the countries where co-education was banned. This thing really makes the life of people harder when they go in the professional field.

In conclusion, co-education is important for the growth of both men and women. Their hestitation towards each other can be reduced. Men learn different things that literally help him after marriage while women can aware how to deal with men of bad behaviour. This thing also help them in life that came after completion of their education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you disagree with single-sex education and support co-education, and you give relevant reasons about preparing students to work with the opposite sex and learn from one another. The workplace comparison is a useful example. However, the second reason is less fully explained: the claims that men learn household skills and women learn how to deal with men are broad, and the example about “badboys” is unclear. The conclusion restates your view but adds little development. To strengthen the response, explain how mixed schooling builds mutual respect or communication, and support each point with a specific, clearly connected example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. However, some links between sentences are abrupt or unclear. For example, “Such as, does not talk with the badboys…” does not connect grammatically or logically to the preceding claim, while “I must want that we need to aware the countries…” introduces a new point without explaining its relationship to the argument. Use clearer topic sentences and connect examples explicitly to the point they illustrate. More precise referencing would also help readers follow who benefits in the final paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “co-education,” “opposite gender,” “professional field” and “single-sex schools.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural or make meaning unclear. Examples include “feel hesitate,” “a huge edge,” “badboys” and “the life of people harder.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “employs” for “employees” and “hestitation” for “hesitation.” Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise terms such as “interpersonal skills” and “mutual understanding” would help express your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the opening concession beginning “Although” and the sentence about people working together in workplaces. The main argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “There is a opinion” has an article error, “I am completely disagree” uses the wrong verb form, and “Those employs who already have a interaction” contains agreement and article problems. The sentence beginning “Such as” is incomplete, and “This thing also help them” has subject–verb agreement and tense issues. Practise accurate articles, verb forms and complete sentence construction, then proofread each sentence for agreement.
