Student answer (Band 5.0)
Alot of countries around the world educate both genders at the same school. However, some think that this case is beneficial butter than separate them in single-sex schools. This essay will examine both prespectives knowing that In my opinion boys and girls should study in mixed schools.
Separating both genders might create a financial probleme to the governments, as they are supposed to study the infrastructure of the whole city and building new schools to fit the numbers of certain students. This will demande a high budget to cover the price of land, matrials, and paying workers. Not only this, but in this case the government should open new job position to fit the number of teachers. because, if the state won;t be able to open new job opportunities, teachers will work for extra hours.
Nevertheless, when both genders study together they will learn alot from each other as the mechanism of both genders is different.as they will develop communication skills and prepar themselves for work environment, also to avoid any type of awkwardness or discomfort.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is stated clearly in the introduction: you believe boys and girls should study in mixed schools, and you give relevant reasons about the cost of separate schools and the benefits of learning together. However, the response addresses the question only partially. The financial point is explained in some detail, but the benefits of co-education are asserted rather than supported with a specific example or fuller explanation. The phrase “This essay will examine both perspectives” also promises a balanced discussion, but the essay does not explain why some people favour single-sex education. The response is 175 words, below the required 250, which limits how fully you can develop your position. Explain both sides and add concrete examples to complete the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about the cost of separate schools, and a paragraph presenting the benefits of mixed education. “However” and “Nevertheless” help signal a change in direction, so the reader can follow the broad argument. At this level, though, progression is limited: the essay ends without a conclusion, and the second body paragraph combines several claims—communication skills, work preparation, and avoiding discomfort—without explaining their links. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the sentence beginning “because” after the point about teacher recruitment. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each reason to its consequence, and add a concluding sentence that restates your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “single-sex schools,” “infrastructure,” “budget,” and “communication skills,” which helps convey the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make the writing less clear or natural. For example, “beneficial butter than” appears to mean “more beneficial than,” while “mechanism of both genders” does not express the intended difference between boys and girls. Errors such as “prespectives,” “matrials,” and “demande” are noticeable. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise phrases such as “the cost of establishing separate schools” would make your argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex structures, including “as they are supposed to study the infrastructure…” and “Not only this, but…,” and the main position is generally understandable. However, the range is limited, and attempts to join ideas often produce faulty sentence structures. For instance, “when both genders study together they will learn… as the mechanism… is different.as they will develop…” contains unclear clause connections and missing sentence boundaries. There are also errors in articles and agreement, such as “open new job position,” and punctuation problems, including sentences beginning with lowercase “because” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then check punctuation and agreement.
