Student answer (Band 4.5)

Most of the individuals around the world think that girls and boys study separately have a benefit i partially agree with this.

In Many parts of the world girls and boys are educated together co-educational institutes which is good in some reasons. Because while studying together they know how to communicate with each other and boys will be learn basic manners about girls how to behave and respect them and as we know girls and boys have different thoughts and ideas while they will study together this can help them build there relationship in good ways and this will create a good bonding and mutual respect Because some of the countries don't provide co-education which is not good they should provide it for some individuals who wants to study together like siblings in most home parents have difficulties for there children they all go to different institutes but if educational institute provide co-education the children will go there easily in one institute which is beneficial for families to carry there childrens together in same institute.

In some countries peoples think education in schools, colleges and university seperate have a benefits. which is good for those girls and boys who doesn't want to study in co-education like most of the countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a partial position—“I partially agree”—and offer relevant points about communication, respect, and the convenience of siblings attending one school. However, the response does not fully explain the benefits of single-sex education or compare them with co-education; the final point about Pakistan and Bangladesh is left unfinished. The ideas are mostly asserted rather than supported with clear examples or explanation, so the task is addressed only partially. The response is 201 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the prompt are not included in that count. To improve, state your position clearly in an introduction, develop both sides with specific reasons and examples, and finish with a conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: one section discusses co-education and another begins to address single-sex education. This gives the reader some sense of the intended contrast. However, the first section is a very long run-on paragraph containing several ideas, and the second section ends abruptly, so the overall progression is difficult to follow. Linking words such as “Because” and “but” are used, but relationships between points are not always clear, and there is little paragraphing to guide the reader. Separate the introduction, each main argument, and the conclusion into focused paragraphs. Use clear transitions to show how each reason supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic topic vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “co-educational,” “mutual respect,” “beneficial,” and “institute.” These choices show some awareness of the topic, but the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “good in some reasons” and “build there relationship in good ways.” Some word forms and collocations also make the meaning less natural, for example “a benefits” and “carry there childrens together.” Aim for more precise academic expressions and vary repeated words such as “good” and “study.” For instance, describe a benefit as “an advantage” and explain that students can “develop respectful relationships.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, including the explanation beginning “while studying together,” but these structures are often faulty and difficult to follow. There are frequent problems with verb forms and agreement, as in “boys will be learn” and “girls and boys … have a benefits,” as well as sentence boundaries: several complete ideas are joined without appropriate punctuation. Articles, plurals, and possessives are also inconsistent, as in “in one institute” and “there children.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships unclear. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them using accurate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and punctuation when editing.
