Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a relevant view in favour of mixed schooling, especially in the conclusion, and you give reasons on both sides. The points about learning from different perspectives, forming friendships, and feeling uneasy when entering a mixed university or workplace are pertinent. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening mainly reports what “others believed,” while the conclusion states your preference without fully explaining why it outweighs the safety and privacy argument. Several ideas are only briefly stated, such as how shared schooling supports later careers, and the example about sports is not clearly connected to the main claim. Develop fewer points with clearer explanation and make your degree of agreement explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are added without clear links. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from gender behaviours to sports, childhood memories, and careers without explaining the connections. The second paragraph shifts from difficulties in mixed settings to safety and privacy, then back to your view. Some linking words, including repeated “However,” do not show the intended relationship. Organise each paragraph around one main point and use clearer references and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “co-educational,” “single sex schools,” “privacy,” “cognitive,” and “environment.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and social development. However, the usable range is limited, and frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the meaning hard to understand: examples include “mathord,” “benifited,” “femiliar,” “drowback,” and “boots.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “provide various think” and “preserve their chilehood memories.” Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer precise, familiar expressions over ambitious wording when you are unsure of the form or meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “If that happend they can not dicuss others about any problems.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, control is inconsistent, and faulty sentence patterns frequently make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “girls and boys should be get educated,” “studying in co-educational school teach students,” and “students who was in singel sex school.” There are also incomplete or poorly connected sentences, such as “Which is a drowback for them,” and problems with articles, agreement, and plural forms. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms and sentence boundaries.
