Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are many educational institution where girls and boys learns combain and it has some advantages like children can learn gender equaliy, remove narvesness from different gender, but it's disadvantages should not be underistimated like sexual attraction from early age, quiraling with one another. I strongly agree with this statement that girls and boys benefit from being educted separately in single sex schools.

There are many country in this world where girls and boys classes appers combine and it has many benifits like learning gender quality, removing narvesness from different gender, leaning something new from different gender. Firstly, students can learn gender quality like when a children always like apart from different gender it can thing that they are not similar to me, nevertheless when they study togather they can thing everyone is same. Secondly, removing nervasness from differnt gender like when a child always live seperate from different gender when they grow then they feel shy to talk each other or feel nervasness. Sometimes they avoid different gender because of narvesness. Thirdly, they can learn something new from each other like what types of things like usualy girls at the same time what types of things like boys so these things make them more real in life.

In contrast it has some disadvantages like quiralling with each other, and feeling sexual attraction from early age. Firstly, boys and girls are not same physically and it is visual. Sometime boys and girls thing they are enemy of one another and they often quirale each other. Now, most of the children use phone and sometimes they watch adults video these things make them able to feel sexual attraction in early age. Since they study togather then sometimes they can make somemistakes which would be a worst for both girl and boy.

In conclusion, co-educational or mixed schools has benefits like learn gender equaliy, remove narvesness from different gender and also has disadvantes like feeling sexual attraction from early age, quiraling with one another. Therefore, overviewing the whole thing i agree with this view.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall position in the introduction and conclusion: you agree that single-sex schools are beneficial. The response also identifies relevant points about mixed education, including gender equality and reduced nervousness, before contrasting these with possible distractions. However, the task asks specifically how far you agree that students benefit from separate schooling, and most of the essay explains advantages of co-education rather than developing the case for single-sex schools. The claim that mixed schooling can lead to early sexual attraction is asserted but not convincingly explained or supported. To strengthen the response, keep your position consistent and develop two or three reasons why separate schools may benefit students, with specific examples or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In contrast” help readers identify the points being discussed. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph lists benefits of mixed schools, while the stated position supports single-sex education; the relationship between these ideas is not made clear. Several points are repeated, especially gender equality and nervousness, and some linking phrases do not create a clear logical connection. For example, “Since they study together then sometimes…” does not clearly explain how the preceding point leads to the conclusion. Organise each paragraph around one main reason that supports your position, then use clear explanations and examples to connect the ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “co-educational,” “gender equality,” “sexual attraction,” and “disadvantages.” However, the range is limited and several key expressions are repeated, while frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “narvesness,” “quiraling,” “combain,” and “overviewing,” as well as the unclear phrase “what types of things like usualy girls.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “learn gender quality” and “make them more real in life.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocation carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the differences between mixed and single-sex schooling without relying on repeated, unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms and attempt to connect ideas with clauses, for example, “when they study togather they can thing everyone is same.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so readers sometimes have to work to understand the intended meaning. There are recurring problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence structure, as in “girls and boys learns” and “co-educational or mixed schools has benefits.” Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “when a children,” while punctuation and clause boundaries need attention. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using “because,” “although,” and “when.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete punctuation.
