Student answer (Band 5.5)

overall, most of the people believe that girls and boys should get schooling in co-educational institutes. others believes that they must be get education in a separately in single sex-schools. This essay will highlights the both aspects of schooling. I also would like to mention my opinion regarding this.

On the one hand, People think that both gender of learners should not share the same educational institute. They don not want interaction with their adolescents to the opposite gender. people assume that students can not concentrate on their studies and always seeking for friendships with each other. According to them, education in a mixed schools can lead them to lack of attention and intrest in their studies and this will contribute to them in poor academic progress.

On the other hand, some people consider that both boys and girls should get leaarning together in a co- educational schools. This would be beneficial for good communicational skills. They have an opportunity to share ideas with each other and could be adventageous for their assignment tasks. Boys are active in physical activities like playing games. they can motivate girls to take part in sports

Moreover, I believe that both aspects can be acceptable. At first, education in separate schools is beeficial to focus and results in good academic grades but also have negative impacts like lack of confidence to interact with each others. Secondly, both gender students get education in mixed schools is goof for social communication skills and helps in high self confidence. but it can cause distractions in the form of playing together and gossips.

Eventually, Both assumptions can be encouraged and acceptable. Because both ascepcts of school learning can be beneficial and harmful as well. Students should know their boundaries and also awareness sessions regarding gender differences and behavioural sciences will results in better educational reports.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the central question by presenting arguments for both single-sex and co-educational schools, then state that both arrangements can be beneficial and harmful. The discussion of focus and academic results in separate schools, and communication and confidence in mixed schools, is relevant. However, the task asks how far you agree with the view that students benefit from being educated separately, and your position remains unclear: saying “both aspects can be acceptable” does not establish your degree of agreement. Several points are also asserted rather than explained, such as the claim that boys can motivate girls in sports. To strengthen the response, state a clear position in the introduction and conclusion, then develop fewer arguments with specific explanations or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, a paragraph giving your view, and a conclusion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Moreover” help signal the main shifts, so the reader can follow the broad comparison. However, the progression becomes repetitive because the paragraph beginning “Moreover, I believe” restates points already made, and the conclusion repeats that both approaches have benefits and drawbacks without resolving your position. Some links are mechanical or unclear, particularly “At first” and “Secondly,” which do not clearly organise the comparison. Improve cohesion by grouping each distinct reason in one place, using clear references to connect ideas, and making the final paragraph directly answer the extent question.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “academic progress,” “social communication skills,” and “confidence.” This gives you enough language to discuss the main contrast, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For example, “get schooling,” “good communicational skills,” and “educational reports” are not natural expressions in this context; “poor academic progress” is clearer than the surrounding phrasing but could be developed more precisely. Spelling errors such as “intrest,” “adventageous,” and “ascepcts” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural education-related collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because” and “that,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation frequently interrupt the reading. Examples include “others believes,” “they must be get education,” and “This essay will highlights”; these require correct subject–verb agreement and verb patterns. The sentence beginning “At first, education in separate schools…” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, while several sentences begin with lowercase letters or join contrasting clauses with a full stop. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and contrast structures, checking each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
