Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While you have identified the main trends and selected some key data points, the report is incomplete. The description of the data is cut off mid-sentence at the end, and you have not provided a full overview of the projected figures for all countries mentioned. To improve, ensure you complete your analysis of all data points provided in the graph and provide a more comprehensive summary of the trends. The failure to complete the task and the under-length nature of the response prevent a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into an introduction, an overview, and a body paragraph. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Overall,' 'However,' and 'By contrast,' but the mechanical nature of the writing and the abrupt ending hinder the flow of information. To improve, ensure that each paragraph is fully developed and that you use a wider variety of linking words to connect your comparisons more fluidly. The lack of a concluding summary or a completed analysis makes the overall structure feel disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have used some appropriate vocabulary for describing trends, such as 'upward trend,' 'significant incline,' and 'steady but modest increase.' However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'projection rate' instead of 'projections' and 'followed increase trend' instead of 'follow an increasing trend.' The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise synonyms for 'increase' and 'decrease' and ensure that your collocations are natural. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs will also help improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are several grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. For example, 'France and Korea both generally was lowest compares to others' contains errors in subject-verb agreement and word form. Additionally, 'all selected countries will followed increase trend' is grammatically incorrect. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors in tense and verb forms. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb tenses are consistent when discussing past data versus future projections. Proofreading for these fundamental errors will significantly improve your accuracy.
