The line graph below shows past and current overweight rates, as well as a projected future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Summarise the infonnation by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The line graph illustrates the history and future of overweight proportions over nine selected countries.

Overall, USA which have highest overweight rate, Where Korea was for short term, and it having lowest overweight rate throughout time period. USA and Australia has rapidly increased then other countries.

To begin with, the change in rate of USA in 1970 in comparison with last month was highest, which was around 75%, followed by England with 69% and Australia with 65%.

Austria, Italy and France increased similarly with nominal rate and reached to 45% in last month. Although, Canada and Spain lasts same in 2020 by 55%.

Moving further, Austria was the only country which increased with just 6% from 1982 to 2020. Spain and Austria are only countries which were decreased with around 3%. The proportion of overweight individuals ranged relatively low by the year 2020, in Korea, France, Italy and Austria between 35% to 45%.
