Overall, every tracked nation experienced a continuous upward trajectory in its overweight population over the fifty-year period. While the United States consistently registered the highest proportions, Korea recorded the lowest figures throughout the entire timeframe.

In 1970, the United States led with approximately 47% of its population classified as overweight, a figure that climbed steadily to peak at roughly 75% in 2020.
