Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main trends and made relevant comparisons between the countries. You covered the past, present, and future projections as required. However, the report suffers from some inaccuracies in data interpretation; for instance, describing the USA rate as 'just under the half of overall weights' is unclear, and some of your specific data points are imprecise. To reach a higher band, ensure that your descriptions of the data are more accurate and that you clearly distinguish between the different time periods for each country. While the overview is present, it could be more concise to better highlight the most significant trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the logical progression within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Meanwhile' and 'Following that trend', the flow is occasionally mechanical. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between the countries and the specific percentages becomes difficult to track. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence clearly relates to the previous one will enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'soared', and 'skyrocket'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'excessive weights rates' instead of 'overweight rates' and 'set up from almost below the on third proportion'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly opaque. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for data reporting and ensure that your word choices are natural and contextually appropriate. Expanding your range of synonyms for describing growth and decline will also help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'overweight rates is taken'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'it is is estimated'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and unnecessary repetition of words. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical errors and ensuring subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your clarity and accuracy.
