Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have attempted to identify some main features, the analysis is incomplete and lacks a clear, accurate summary of the data. For instance, the description of the trends is confusing, and the data points mentioned (e.g., '49%') are not clearly linked to specific years or trends. To improve, ensure you cover all parts of the task, provide a clear overview of the main trends, and include sufficient detail to meet the length requirement. The current response is too brief to fully develop the necessary comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as 'To commence with' and 'Moving ahead,' which do not always transition smoothly between ideas. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between countries. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus. The progression of ideas needs to be more structured to guide the reader through the data effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'clearly analysis' (should be 'clearly analyzed') and 'less dignosis' (should be 'lower rates of diagnosis'). The use of 'suffer from obesity' is repetitive throughout the text. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use a more varied range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuate,' 'peak,' 'decline,' and 'proportion.' Additionally, ensure that you use words in their correct grammatical form to avoid confusion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Korean individual less dignosis'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures (e.g., 'it’s stat with 48% and end with 60%'). The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, practice using complex sentence structures and pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, such as verb tenses and pluralization. Proofreading for small errors like missing prepositions or incorrect word forms will also help improve your score.
