Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response identifies the main features of the graph, such as the highest and lowest rates. However, the reporting of data is inconsistent and lacks precision. For instance, stating that England's line 'rise up to the sky' is not an appropriate academic description of data. Furthermore, the analysis of the trends is somewhat superficial, and the grouping of countries like 'France, Spain, Canada and Australia' without specific data points makes the summary less effective. To improve, you should focus on selecting key data points (start, end, and significant turning points) and describing them with accurate numerical values rather than vague generalizations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between sentences is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical or misused (e.g., 'Looking at line charts in details'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the different countries. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear focus would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'assumtion', 'heighest', 'continously') and word choice issues (e.g., 'previous and future assumption' instead of 'past and projected trends'). The phrase 'rise up to the sky' is informal and inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report. You need to use more precise terminology related to data trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a sharp increase', to demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'population suffers', 'Italy shows'), incorrect tense usage, and missing articles. Sentence structures are often repetitive and lack complexity. For example, 'Then Austria noted the weigh in1982 with population around 39 of nation' is grammatically fragmented and unclear. To reach a higher band, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses when describing past and future data, and reducing the frequency of errors that impede clarity.
