Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all nine countries mentioned in the graph and provides a clear overview of the trends. You successfully identified the main features, such as the USA having the highest rates and Korea the lowest. However, the analysis is somewhat descriptive rather than analytical. For instance, you list data points for each country individually rather than grouping them by similar trends or comparing them more effectively. To reach a higher band, focus on synthesising the information by highlighting the most significant differences and similarities rather than providing a sequential list of statistics for each country.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs. The progression of ideas is generally clear. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'In England', 'Canada and Spain', 'Similarly', 'Lastly'). Some transitions feel forced, and the referencing could be smoother. For example, the sentence 'In England sudden rise of 45% is observed' lacks a clear subject-verb structure that links it effectively to the previous sentence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, using terms like 'illustrates', 'historical', 'projected', and 'minimal'. However, there are several spelling errors ('obsecity', 'Autralia', 'seens', 'Similary') and minor word choice issues. The phrase 'emerged in the graph' is not the most natural way to describe data points appearing on a chart. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure careful proofreading to eliminate spelling mistakes, which currently detract from the professional tone of the report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('it is USA tops the chart'), subject-verb agreement issues ('USA have', 'Both the countries are predicted to rise up together'), and awkward phrasing ('expected to increase upward upto 75%'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the data. To improve, focus on mastering article usage and ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, as well as refining the use of prepositions in trend descriptions.
