Overall, it is clear that the overweight ratios surged over time in all countries. USA consistently showed highest proportion, While Korea remains the lowest throughout the period.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview of the data. You covered the key features, such as the USA's leading position and Korea's status as the lowest. However, there are some inaccuracies in data reporting. For instance, you mention Canada and England starting in 1990, but the graph shows data points starting earlier for many countries. Additionally, your description of the trends for Spain, Australia, France, and Italy is somewhat vague, as you group them together without detailing their individual trajectories clearly. To improve, ensure you carefully verify the start dates and specific values for each country to avoid factual errors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In contrast,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Overall,' which help guide the reader. However, the progression of ideas within the body paragraphs is occasionally mechanical. Some transitions between sentences feel slightly abrupt, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when grouping multiple countries together. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the links between your sentences are smoother and more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, using terms like 'surged,' 'proportion,' 'fluctuated,' and 'soared.' However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation. For example, 'historical overweight projections' is slightly inaccurate as the graph shows historical rates, not projections. You also have some minor errors in phrasing, such as 'reached at 75%' (should be 'reached 75%') and 'see saw trend.' To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your collocations are natural and accurate for the context of describing statistical data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the USA,' 'the England') and verb tense consistency (e.g., 'Canada and England begins'). There are also issues with prepositions and subject-verb agreement, such as 'Korea remain in lowest' instead of 'remains in the lowest.' While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, proofread your work specifically for article usage, subject-verb agreement, and consistent tense usage when describing past and future data.
