The line graph below shows past and current overweight rates, as well as a projected future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Summarise the infonnation by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Past and projected future overweight rates in selected OECD countries

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The line graph tracks the changes in rates of past and current overweight and also the projected future overweight in nine selected countries.

As an overview, the overweight rates selected in OECD countries are slightly increased in the year 2020. But they also faced some downfall from the year 2000 to 2010.

In the year 2000, USA has increased the overweight very rapidly whereas, the Korea and Spain also steadily increased its overweight. After that, it can be observed that there is a fluctuation in Australia past and projected overweight nearly 40%-50% till the year [redacted phone].

Furthermore, Italy also gained its overweight rates to 40%-50% till the year 2010. Additionally, we can see the slight increase in England's overweight rates to highest 70% till the year 2020. Moreover, Austria has been decreased in 2010 but after that also rised to maximum 50% till the year 2020. This information shows the fluctuations in all the nine countries very clearly.
