The line graph below shows past and current overweight rates, as well as a projected future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Summarise the infonnation by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The illustrated line graph depicts the information about overweight rates of current and along with future overweight rates of nine diverse country's population from 1970 to 2020. Respectively, countries are Canada, England, Austria, Australia, France, Korea, Italy, USA and Spain.

The line graph represents data in which USA has the highest rates of overweight population, in 1970 it was around 47% and drastically increased around 73% in 2020. England is the second number, in [redacted phone] overweight rate was approximately 45% and increased at around 69% in 2020. Canada came after these who's overweight population was about 50% in mid1990 and slightly decreased at 48% in 2000 and again increased from [redacted phone] with ratio of around 55%. Spain was at about 43% in mid 1980 and goes upward, in mid 2000 came lower a little bit in mid 2000 and gain goes up round 55% in 2020. Austria had around 39% overweight population in 1980 and stay constant mid 1990 and increased from 2000 to 2020 with rate of about 48%. Italy obesity rate were at around 37% in 1990 and increased to approximately 43% in 2020. Australia was at around 33% in 1990 and increased by about 45% in 2020.

France had 30% overweight population at end of 1980 which increased to around 43% in 2020. Korea had a around 24% in 2000 and increased about 34% in 2020.

In comparison, USA had the highest obesity rates and England comes at second and Korea had the lowest overweight population as compared to other countries.
