The line graph below shows past and current overweight rates, as well as a projected future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Summarise the infonnation by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The line graph illustrates the past and current overweight rates, and also estimated future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Overall, USA is dominant in the overweight proportion. The Austria and England also followed this trend. while the korea ratio is slightly declined in future.

First of all, the USA proportion was 45% in 1980 and significantly rose to 70% in 2020. The England overweight contribution was 45% and gradually increased to 70% in 2020. Moreover, Canada and Spain are at same level in graph. Their overweight contribution was 42% and it slightly inclined to 50%.The Austria overweight proportion was 39% in 1980 and slightly increased to 45%. Whereas, Korea ration was 25% in 2000 and increased to 35% in 2020.

The France overweight ratio was 30% in 1990 and slightly inclined to 42% in 2020. On the other hand, Italy accounted for 38% in 1990 and gradually rose to 40% in 2020.
