Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task by mentioning several countries from the line graph, such as the USA, England, Canada, Spain, Austria, Italy, Australia, France, and Korea. However, the selection of main features and comparisons is extremely superficial and confused. The text lacks a clear overview and fails to accurately report the data trends. For instance, the writer notes that in '1970 observe proportion overwight are 40 and fifty center', which misinterprets the timeline and figures presented in the graph. The ideas are heavily under-developed, and the information is presented in a disorganised manner, making it very difficult to follow the factual progression of the data. Consequently, this performance falls short of Band 5 expectations due to incomplete and inaccurate data reporting.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The organisation of the text is severely compromised by poor sentence structure and improper paragraphing. The writer attempts a basic division ('First pragraph:' and 'Overall we see...'), but the internal structure of these sections is chaotic. There is a complete lack of logical progression and appropriate cohesive devices. Pronouns and referencing words are misused or absent, creating abrupt and confusing transitions between ideas. For example, sentences like 'Look the past project at the USA is the popular and rise country. But 1970 observe proportion overwight are...' disrupt the flow entirely. Overall, the information is not arranged in a coherent way, fitting the description for Band 4.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is extremely limited, repetitive, and frequently non-standard or inaccurate. The writer invents words and misuses terms, such as 'outofweight' instead of overweight, 'discrease' instead of decrease, and 'avobe' instead of above. Attempts to use less common vocabulary fail due to severe word choice and spelling errors. While the topic is related to overweight rates, the lexical range is inadequate to convey the data effectively, and the numerous errors constantly strain the reader, aligning with Band 4 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The text is dominated by severe sentence structure errors, fragments, and non-sentences (e.g., 'First pragraph:Look the past project at the USA is the popular and rise country.'). There is virtually no control over basic verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, or punctuation, with frequent comma splices and run-on thoughts. Complex structures are either absent or attempted so incorrectly that they distort the meaning entirely. These frequent and pervasive errors place the response firmly at Band 4.
