IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The line graph below shows past and current overweight rates, as well as a projected future overweight rate in nine selected countries.

Summarise the infonnation by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The trend chart describes overweight rates for previous and present project alter future rates for nine countries: USA, England, Canada, Spain, Austria, Italy, Australia, France, Korea.

Overall, USA has high increased in their rate for earlier and for future. Although Korea has low decreased in their overweight rates for prior as well as for later.

In 1970, USA has 50% overweighted their rate afterwards their rates grown 75% till 2020. After that Austria has 48% rate in 1980, thereafter it has gone up till 2008 next little bit fall and then soar in 2020. By 1985, Spain has increased by 43% later it has improved their rates in 2022. Australia has great movement in prior years through 2019.

Over The year 1990, England has 47% of overweight rate, therefore it has little bit grow and fall in 2005 after it will increase in 2020. Canada has low expanded, but it will rise in future. France has slightly gone up and drop in between 1990 to 2000 later it will rise till 2020. In between 1990 to 2000, Italy has steadily surge till 2010, then it will steadily high. In whole trend graph lowest rates country is Korea, it will rise in 1998 and grow in 2020.

On the whole, USA has high increase in past and future. Moreover, Korea has low increase country in past as well as in future.
