Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear overall position—“I largely agree”—and give relevant reasons, especially that technology can make work easier and support development. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the examples are mostly listed rather than explained, and the point about climate change, food security and diseases is unclear and not connected to a developed argument. The conclusion repeats the benefits and cost concern without resolving how these ideas shape your position. The response contains 211 words, so it is 39 words below the required minimum; the 10 words copied from the prompt are excluded. To strengthen the response, explain two or three relevant examples and show how each supports your view, while clarifying whether the costs and risks limit your agreement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: an introduction gives your position, the body presents benefits and then concerns, and a conclusion returns to the main topic. Linking expressions such as “To commence with,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help signal stages. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several examples and claims are crowded into long sentences, and the second body paragraph is too brief to develop its point. Some links are also unclear, as in “Hence, these ideas are enough to validate given phenomea,” which does not specify what has been validated. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to your argument, and make references such as “It” and “these ideas” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “modern technologies,” “electricity,” “food security,” and “public funding,” and you use some relevant terms for discussing science and society. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spellings make meaning less clear. For example, “traget of science,” “roberts,” “e-vechiles,” and “given phenomea” are inaccurate, while “employee people” does not express the intended idea naturally. Phrases such as “modern technologies thing” are also vague. Aim for precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Replacing broad or inaccurate expressions with specific terms—such as “household robots” or “scientific research”—would make your argument easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “For example” and a contrast introduced by “but.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty, so errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “Science play” and “It also help,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect; “one of the primary reason,” where the noun should be plural; and “many discoveries was found,” which has incorrect agreement and passive construction. The sentence “The supportive reasons which shall be discussed in upcoming paragraphs” is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences before adding clauses, and check articles, plurals, and verb forms during revision.
