Student answer (Band 6.5)
While it has been suggested that science should perform space exploration or other research rather than searching of new methods for improving human health, I firmly believe that betterment of individuals lives should be the first priority of science.
What many people fail to realize is the importance of human health. Countries who's main aim is to save their citizen's life, they usually experience less health issues. Moreover, new studies regarding the various diseases and discover about their solution is the need of the hour. Take Covid, for example, this dangerous virus took millions lives, If scientist discovered immunization for Covid earlier, the situation would be controlled. Hence, it is clear that health of every citizen is most important aspect in this world.
Apart from that, science should study about autism, which is increasing in every nation. If doctors search about this issues during the early stage of pregnancy, the number of children who are facing this problem would be reduce significantly. This would be a milestone in the history of science , if this kind of health issue is curable. Current issue in the health sector is lack of funding ; had the government invested in the wellbeing of their dwellers earlier, the current number of people who are suffering from this issue could have been reduced.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but it fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 222 words. This under-length significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the main argument is clear, the supporting points—such as the mention of autism and Covid—are somewhat superficial and lack the depth required for a higher band. The conclusion is also incomplete and repetitive, suggesting a lack of planning. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and examples to ensure you comfortably exceed the word count.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the structure is hampered by the incomplete conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Apart from that,' but the flow is occasionally mechanical. The transition between the body paragraphs and the final conclusion is disjointed due to the repetition of 'To conclude.' To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your ideas transition smoothly. Avoid repeating introductory phrases and ensure your conclusion effectively summarizes your main points without introducing new information or appearing unfinished.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range expected at higher bands. You use some basic errors in word choice, such as 'discover about their solution' instead of 'discovering solutions' and 'dwellers' instead of 'citizens' or 'population.' There is also some repetition of simple terms. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to scientific research and public health. Focus on using words that accurately convey your meaning rather than relying on general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There are several grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of your writing. For example, 'Countries who's main aim' should be 'Countries whose main aim,' and 'took millions lives' should be 'took millions of lives.' You also have issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'the health of every citizen is most important aspect.' While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by these errors. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and possessive pronouns.
