Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, covering health, daily convenience, and the expansion of knowledge. However, the development is somewhat superficial; for instance, the points about 'online shopping' and 'transportation' are listed rather than fully explored with deep analysis. While the position is consistent, the conclusion repeats the body paragraphs rather than synthesizing the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by a more detailed explanation or a specific, illustrative example rather than just a list of benefits.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To elaborate it' or 'To explain it'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs often relies on simple listing rather than sophisticated linking of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'life expectancy', 'renewable energy', and 'wildlife conservation'. However, there are several spelling errors ('euipments', 'widelife', 'transportation' is correct but 'trasportation' was used) and some word choice inaccuracies, such as 'earlier approaching' instead of 'faster travel' or 'reaching destinations sooner'. The range is sufficient for the task but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('science provide', 'internet provide', 'science developes') and article usage. Some sentence constructions are awkward, such as 'science should innovate some medical euipments that aid to early disease detection'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and refining the use of prepositions and articles.
