Student answer (Band 6.0)

It often suggested that most significant aim of science should be to imrove public lives.I completely agree with this percpective because science innovate machines for serious illness and improve people lifestyle.

One primary reason supporting this view is that science has rapidly developed and cutting-edge new machines in a hospitals. In other words, Nowadays people rely on the ready mate foods and consume more outside food such as sugary drinks, packet food it is directly effect on their health. However, science should be develope new products when people effected many serious illness such as cancer, blood infections so they can easily find and tretment more effectively. for example, COVID-19 is the serious illness issue when many countries face. many people effected and lost their lives. Due to doctors and scientist they find the solution and save individuals live. Consequently,Scientist should work hard for find unknown illness solution

beyond this, another compelling argument for this stance related to improve public health. This is largely because when people live long and better lifestyle so,it is also helps in increased economic growth. Although people consume healthy food and using some effective products so discouage their work. for example, science launch new products and medicines. They helps improve people health and fight from serious diseces. Therefore, science constribute significantly improve people health in certain ways.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that science constribute more for improving people lives. This is due to innovate new technology for find serious health issue and encouage people to consume healthy foods.Although they should start campings about awerness of public health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you mention medical advancements as a primary argument, the explanation is occasionally disjointed, such as the sudden shift to discussing 'ready-made foods' and 'economic growth' without a clear logical link to the main argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on one clear supporting point that directly relates to the prompt, and provide more specific, well-explained examples rather than listing general concepts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt at logical progression. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'beyond this' and 'in other words' used in contexts where they do not fit naturally. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother narrative.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher score. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'imrove', 'percpective', 'develope', 'tretment', 'diseces', 'constribute', 'campings') and some awkward word choices, such as 'ready mate foods' instead of 'processed foods'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'cutting-edge' and 'economic growth', the overall range is limited. Focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and improving your collocation skills.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include missing articles ('in a hospitals'), incorrect verb forms ('science innovate', 'science should be develope'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('many people effected'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors impacts the overall readability. To improve, practice complex sentence structures and proofread carefully for basic grammatical accuracy.
