Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention AI, medicine, and agriculture, these points are listed rather than fully extended with detailed explanations or specific, illustrative examples. To reach a higher band, you should focus on 'why' and 'how' science improves lives, perhaps by discussing the ethical implications or the balance between scientific discovery and human welfare. The structure is logical, but the content lacks the depth required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, you frequently start sentences with 'There are' or 'This results in'. The transition between the medical and agricultural sectors is abrupt, lacking smooth linking phrases. To improve, try using a wider variety of cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in addition to this' to connect your ideas more fluidly and improve the overall flow of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'getting advanced' and 'improving people's lives' are used multiple times. There is a lack of less common, academic vocabulary that would demonstrate a higher level of proficiency. You occasionally struggle with word choice, such as 'doing the lab reports of the soil', which is not the most natural way to express scientific analysis. Expanding your range of synonyms and collocations will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the medical field', 'the pharmaceutical sector') and subject-verb agreement. For instance, 'Nowadays the world is getting advance' should be 'getting advanced', and 'lots of medical equipment are being made' should be 'is being made'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity and professional tone of your writing. Focus on proofreading for basic tense and article usage.
