Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 196 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, which remain superficial and under-developed. While you state a clear position, the supporting arguments—such as the mention of medical machines or online bill payments—lack the depth and elaboration required for a higher band. The conclusion is also very brief and does not effectively summarize the main points. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations, concrete examples, and a more thorough exploration of the prompt's implications to ensure the response is sufficiently developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'First and foremost' and 'Furthermore', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a mechanical way. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the another reason', which is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is present, but the paragraphs themselves are quite short and lack internal cohesion. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that logically connect to the main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'better individuals lives' instead of 'improve people's lives' and 'Cancer detect machien'. The spelling errors, such as 'agrued', 'pqay', and 'transportantion', are frequent and detract from the overall quality of the writing. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use a more varied range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and collocations. Expanding your vocabulary related to science and technology would be particularly beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('it employes to people'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors in punctuation and word order, such as 'mostly people pqay their electricity bills... by own'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which limits your ability to express more sophisticated ideas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Practicing the construction of complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions would also help improve your range.
