Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on medical advancements and the role of AI. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'faceless channels' on social media is a bit tangential and does not strongly support the core idea of science improving lives in a broad, societal sense. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, you should provide more depth in your examples and ensure every point directly reinforces your central thesis.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Moreover' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the concluding paragraph is quite brief and lacks a strong summary statement that ties the arguments together effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'substantial effect,' 'innovation,' and 'artificial intelligence.' However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'by achieved their daily living tasks' and 'various number of diseases.' These errors occasionally impede the natural flow of the text. To improve, focus on collocations and more precise word choices. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the sophistication and flexibility required for higher band scores.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'science creates the new technologies' (unnecessary article), 'as we advance in the technology' (incorrect usage), and 'Science has help them' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in sentence construction. The majority of your sentences are understandable, but the frequency of these small errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and article usage.
