Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument, the ideas are underdeveloped and often unclear. For example, the mention of 'cash to universities' and 'antibiotics' is too brief to constitute a well-supported argument. Furthermore, the second paragraph is difficult to follow, making it hard to identify a clear, consistent position. To improve, you must expand your points with specific examples and ensure your argument is logically structured throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no clear paragraphing, and the progression of ideas is disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'the first extent' and 'the other side', but they are used mechanically and do not effectively link your arguments. Referencing is often unclear, such as in the phrase 'which one belong to their job', where the antecedent is ambiguous. To improve, focus on using clear topic sentences for each paragraph and ensure that each idea flows logically into the next using a wider variety of linking words.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

Your vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There are numerous spelling errors, such as 'finansial', 'lige', 'alcahol', 'cigarates', and 'neccesery'. Additionally, word choices like 'highly mentioned about thing' and 'make some verdict to there question' are unnatural and imprecise. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary to include more academic collocations and ensure you are using words in their correct context. Focus on proofreading your work to eliminate basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'if someone have'), tense usage (e.g., 'i going respond'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making them hard to parse. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences are consistently faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct verb tenses, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
