In today's growing world, science is the root to innovations and discoveries. Being the most important part for education, it plays a major role in everyday life from the morning alarm to the peaceful sleep. Talking about science, it plays a very dominant role in every individual's life. Humans are dependent on science and the discoveries made through it. It has always help improve people's lives in almost every field, from medicines, engineering, research and also space.
The first reason to support my point, is the rigorous development that the field of medicines and healthcare has made till date. Due to these achievements, millions of people are able to survive. The situation of COVID-19 pandemic, is the best example to state that how science and its research has helped human to survive. Alongside, dealing with some of the fatal situations to mankind like cancer and AIDS was never easy, but with the scientific findings it has been convenient to fight these critical situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by arguing that science is essential for improving lives, focusing on medicine and engineering. While the position is clear, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the link between space exploration and 'connecting with loved ones' is vague and lacks a clear logical connection to the core argument. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples and ensure that every point directly supports the central thesis of improving human life.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. Phrases like 'Talking about science' and 'Continuing to' are used to transition between ideas, but they do not always flow smoothly. Additionally, some sentences are repetitive, such as the opening sentences which restate the importance of science multiple times. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds upon the previous one would enhance the overall flow and logical progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'rigorous development,' 'fatal situations,' and 'robust infrastructures.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'science is the root to innovations' (should be 'root of') and 'there quality' (should be 'their quality'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic terminology rather than relying on general descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'It has always help improve' (should be 'helped'), 'the situation of COVID-19 pandemic' (missing article), and 'Human uses science' (should be 'Humans use'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
