Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is true that Science is involving itself in improving the way of living of human beings by providing valuable evidences regarding our health. However, according to me, it is unfair to focusing more on only individual's well being than other main factors of planet. I largely disagree with this school of thought as it is avoiding the main solutions for escaping the Earth from environmental major problems. This essay will discus my views on this point of view before my statement on this.
To begin with, Scientists are the only hope for world to escape the planet from natural crisis like earthquakes, brutal floods and so on as it is developing with lot of revolutionary thinking, also the Science is able to recover the human being from almost any disease, which indicates a positive development for human beings for improving themselves. For instance, according to 2020 headlines, more than thousands of people saved their lives, who were became the victims of a specific disease ( Corona ), which is also known as COVID-19. People saves their lives through a vaccination made by researches. Therefore, the authorities and others are asking the science to involve most of their potential in saving and improving the human lives.
On the other side, if the more scientists and researchers will only focus on enhancing the way of living for people, the more quickly other species, which are at extinction stage, will be vanished from the world. To explain it, nature is not only for human beings, but also for other bodies living on this earth. Moreover, other species are also plays an important role in our lives, it will disadvantageous for us to not serving for them. Therefore, if the scientists really want to improve people's live, they ought to give a look on another main aspects too.
Furthermore, whether it is fact that extinctions of such species could important for natural purpose but if we are harming them for sake of our long lives, it will consider as unbalanced equality between human beings and other living organisms. Deforestation, as a example, is the most selfish action done by human being for their commercial purpose, which resulted in lots of habitat loss of birds. Thus, I not consider this idea as a most important aim of science.
To conclude, Although the science is working on developing itself to be a serving life hacks to individuals, focusing only on it might be unfair for other important fellows living on this lovely planet.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing that science should have a broader focus than just human well-being. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the point about environmental concerns is relevant, the connection between 'improving lives' and 'extinction' is occasionally repetitive. The introduction is slightly confusing, as it states the essay will discuss the views before the statement, which is redundant. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported argument rather than restating the same premise. The examples provided, such as the COVID-19 vaccination, are relevant but could be explained with more depth to fully support the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'On the other side,' and 'Furthermore,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'before my statement on this' in the introduction. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where 'serving life hacks' is an informal and imprecise way to refer to scientific advancements. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and avoiding repetitive sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'Science is involving itself,' 'recover the human being from almost any disease,' and 'serving life hacks.' The use of 'brutal floods' is slightly unnatural in this context. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'deforestation' and 'habitat loss,' the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and avoiding informal phrasing like 'give a look on' or 'lovely planet.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('other species are also plays'), article usage, and awkward phrasing ('who were became the victims'). There are also issues with sentence fragments and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization.
