Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While you state a clear position, the arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. For example, the point about AI is vague, and the mention of medical prosthetics is a good start but lacks sufficient elaboration to fully explore the 'extent' of your agreement. To improve, you must expand your supporting arguments with more detailed explanations and specific examples, ensuring you meet the length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'For instance', their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Explainig some of the another supporting points in favour against this statement'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear central topic sentence that connects logically to your overall argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'aussiming' (assuming), 'morely' (mostly), and 'exprementing' (experimenting). You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is a lack of precision in your expression. For instance, 'developing things that can destory our earth' is quite simplistic. To improve, you should practice using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to science and technology. Expanding your vocabulary through reading academic texts will help you express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Science are developing', 'science have to focus') and article usage. Sentence structures are generally simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'if people who does not have arm and leg can get a artificial arms and legs'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common errors in pluralization and article usage.
