Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of 'Education, Medical, Communication' is a list rather than a developed point. The essay also ends abruptly, leaving the conclusion incomplete. To improve, ensure you expand on each point with specific examples and maintain a consistent structure throughout the essay to fully address all parts of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, with an introduction and body paragraphs. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed due to the incomplete nature of the sentences and the abrupt ending. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To Commence with', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The paragraphing is present but the lack of a proper conclusion makes the overall structure feel unfinished. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would greatly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'zeinth' (zenith), 'demoonstarte' (demonstrate), 'segregrate' (segregated), and 'substainable' (sustainable). These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'sustainable developments' and 'ecosystem', the overall control is weak. You need to focus on learning the correct spelling and usage of academic vocabulary to express your ideas more precisely and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'Science plays an zeinth role to make better people's lives' and 'Science variable advantages not lies to humans' are grammatically incorrect and difficult to parse. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors often cause confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization.
