Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 109 words. Because the response is significantly under-length, the ideas are severely underdeveloped. While you state your agreement with the prompt, the supporting arguments are fragmented and lack the necessary depth or academic structure required for an IELTS Task 2 essay. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and logical explanations, ensuring you meet the minimum length to allow for a fully developed response that addresses all parts of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure, with no introduction, body paragraphs, or conclusion. The ideas are presented in a disjointed manner, making it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas together; for example, the transition between the medical field and the space exploration example is abrupt. To improve, you should organize your response into clear paragraphs, each with a topic sentence, and use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect your thoughts logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'gols' for 'goals', 'esiyer' for 'easier', and 'lattes' for 'latest'. The word choice is basic and often imprecise, which hinders the clarity of your message. To achieve a higher band score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary by learning synonyms and collocations related to science and technology. Focus on using more precise terminology rather than relying on simple, informal language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For instance, 'if many technology update so many humans life save' is grammatically incorrect and difficult to parse. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures, and the lack of punctuation makes the text difficult to read. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and pluralization, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
