IELTS Writing Task 2 question

The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

For ages, science has had been playing a major role throughout mankind's life irrespective of field i.e. whether it is heath care or education. It has helped to improve human's daily life activities like transport as well as basic need like food and water. Thus many believe that most important aim of science should be to improve individual's lives, which it partly agree and the reasons for this is discussed further in the essay.

Regarding the advantage which we will get, medical science can help humans to develop medicine and achieve cure of several life threatening diseases by the guidance of medical science
