IELTS Writing Task 2 question
The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowaddays , most of people believe that , aim of science should be improve people lives. However , science play a important role in modern life . I partially agree with this statement and my viewpoint will be dicussed ensuing paragraph .
To commence with , mant masses believe that , science play a important role in modern lifestyle , primarily , scientific reasearch had helped docotrs develop better medicine and medical treatment . However , many disease can be treated more effectivelty. For example, many vaccines have helped protect lot of individuals from serious diseases and reduce the too much infecaation . Secondly , another benefit of science that it make everyday of lifestyle more convient and many scientific discoveries have led to technologyies scuh as smartphomens , computers, modern transport and another important applications. For instance , smartphones allow people to attend online classes , communicate with their friend and relatives and share information quickely through the apps without type the long messages .
Moving further ahead , another important reasons is that , firstly , science study space , climate changes, human knowledge and other important rearcehs may not provide an immidetly benefits but it can valuable for future generations . To exlpicate , climate reasearch helped scientist understand global warming effects . Secondly ,Many time scientific predations had wrong , so that people several time confussed about the environment condition and predations . For example , if a scientist predict the news , 2 hours later the climate showed heavy rain floods , many masses life their home shift another safe place but the predictions was wrong , so people feel sad because they left their home .
In conclusion , in my perspective , that improving people lives should be the most important aim of science because scientific prograss can make people healthier , safe and more comfotable .
