Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is severely under-length, containing only 100 words against the mandatory 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, the ideas are extremely limited and under-developed, which prevents the writer from fully addressing all parts of the task. While the student attempts to state a position ('I am agree with this statement') and provides a few rudimentary examples regarding wars, technology, and hospitals, the lack of substantive expansion and the failure to meet the word count severely restricts the task achievement score. In accordance with IELTS guidelines for under-length scripts, the score must reflect the incomplete nature of the response, earning a band 4.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text lacks proper paragraphing, consisting of a series of disconnected, single-sentence or very short lines that do not form a cohesive or logical overall progression. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, such as 'Because if see the back some year', which disrupts the flow of ideas. While the writer attempts to move from general statements to specific examples in hospitals, the lack of structural organization and the frequent absence of basic cohesive links make the text difficult to follow. This level of organisation aligns with the band 4 descriptors, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently enough to ensure smooth progression.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

Vocabulary is very basic, repetitive, and restricted to high-frequency words. The student frequently uses inappropriate word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'improve the people life', 'veins exchanges', and 'heart exchange'. There are also significant spelling and word-form errors, including 'posibile' and 'thay' instead of 'they'. Although the meaning of certain concepts can be guessed, the lexical range is severely limited, and the errors occasionally strain the reader. This performance fits the band 4 descriptor, reflecting a basic and repetitive vocabulary with frequent errors that impede clear communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range is extremely limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures that are frequently flawed. There are constant basic grammar errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues and missing auxiliary verbs ('The most important role science to improve', 'I am agree', 'the science change all over world'). Complex sentence structures are largely avoided or attempted with faulty punctuation and syntax, as seen in 'There are many technology comforts like clean energy... make daily life to much easy'. Errors are frequent and often distort meaning, placing this performance at band 4.0 due to the very limited range and persistent grammatical inaccuracies.
