In today,s rapidly evolving world the topic aim of science should to improve people,s lives is controversial debate. I totally agree with this statement because science improve our overall well being. Every field is improved and changed with the the help of science.

To begin with, science is a vast subject. It includes many things like, human body, agriculture, animals, medicine, space and lot more. From decades science is continuous evolving and giving benefits to human beings for their survival. For example, in the past people was dying because of detrimental diseases like, cancer, maleria, dengue, but now we have cure for these diseases. People life expectancy is increasing. Moreover, sceince also explore space and reached to moon and exploring other planets for future survival. This is the biggest acievement of science.

Furthermore, science also discover marine life. Under the ocean there is an another world. Different species surviving under the water. Science make it easy for people to understand the nature and how to take benefits from that. There is no doubt that science is improving our lives day by day. It depends on people how they consume and how they can take benefits from that. Many people try to explore harmful content with the help of science which affects badly on their health and overall welbeing. For example, industiralization uses different hazardous chemicals which is harmful for people life and for nature, but they tend to use for their buisness and make profits from that. science only teaches paths to explore and get benefits from that. It depends on individual to use science to improve people lives or make them worst.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses the prompt directly by taking a clear position that science should aim to improve people's lives and that it largely does so. Ideas are presented and supported with examples, such as the eradication of diseases like cancer, malaria, and dengue, and space exploration. However, some arguments lack deep development and tend to overgeneralise, such as the brief mentions of marine life and industrialisation. The conclusion slightly repeats earlier points without adding further nuance. Overall, the response addresses all parts of the task with a relevant position, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a coherent overall arrangement. The student attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', 'For example', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitions are sometimes faulty or mechanical, and punctuation errors around conjunctions disrupt the natural flow. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs can feel disjointed due to abrupt shifts between ideas, such as moving from space exploration to marine life without a smooth bridge. These features place the response firmly at Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms such as 'evolution', 'expectation', 'industrialization', and 'well-being'. However, there are numerous noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'today,s', 'people,s', 'welbeing', 'acievement', 'maleria', and 'buisness'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they reveal a lack of control over less common items and word forms. Paraphrasing is limited, and repetition of basic phrases like 'take benefits from that' occurs frequently. This vocabulary profile reflects Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'It depends on people how they consume and how they can take benefits from that.' However, control over grammatical structures and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'science improve', 'From decades science is continuous evolving', 'people was dying', and 'science aim is only to improves lives'. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with comma splices and misplaced apostrophes. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader at times, placing the grammar score at Band 5.
