Science is a part of life and whatever happens in this world, there is science behind each and everything in this universe. I totally agree with the point that understanding the science and utilizing it for improving people's lives can must be a major role of science. Nevertheless, it should not be only the one single role.
After a lot of discoveries since many decades, many of the scientists had developed impactful theories and experiments to increase understanding of science among the people. Nowadays, people usually utilizing the understanding of science to improve and fulfill their luxurious lifestyle's aim. Lot of construction companies are moving enormously towards semi-urban and rural areas after earning spectacular profits from the cites. It is disturbing meanwhile can say misusing of science and discoveries by harming natural resources.
In conclusion, I will not going to disagree with the point of not using science and technology in their well being. But we effectively need to make sure about not causing more harm to the environment. It convince the major point of understanding science properly to make your standard of living in more ease. But, it is must to not entertain the humans who are constantly misusing science in their own selfish greed which causes harm to others and nature itself.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether science's main aim should be to improve people's lives and introduces a clear position that while improvement is crucial, it is not the sole role. The writer attempts to develop ideas across body paragraphs, contrasting positive technological advancements with the negative impacts of misusing science, such as environmental destruction for luxurious housing. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed and general, preventing the response from reaching a higher band. The explanation regarding luxurious housing shifts the focus slightly towards over-consumption rather than a fully balanced evaluation of science's broader purposes, such as pure research or exploration. Nevertheless, all parts of the prompt are addressed, supporting a solid Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall coherent arrangement. Paragraphing is utilized, though the progression between ideas sometimes feels abrupt. Cohesive devices are attempted, but transitional phrases such as 'After a lot of discoveries since many decades' and 'It convince the major point' are awkward, mechanical, or mismanaged. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as pronoun usage in the final paragraph ('It convince the major point'). While the logical flow is mostly maintained and the reader can follow the writer's line of thought, the mechanical nature of the cohesion and faulty referencing keep this criterion at a Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range to communicate ideas about science and lifestyle, using terms such as 'digital transformation', 'environmental usage', and 'spectacular profits'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'science evolved around the numerous inventions which contains', 'luxurious lifestyle's aim', and 'to built' instead of 'to build'. Less common vocabulary is attempted but often marred by collocation errors or non-standard phrasing ('misusing of science'). The range is minimally adequate for the task, but errors in word formation and choice place this at a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including relative clauses and subordinate clauses (e.g., 'whatever happens in this world, there is science behind each and everything'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors including tense inconsistencies, missing auxiliary verbs ('I will not going to disagree'), subject-verb agreement issues ('many of the scientists had developed... is significantly increasing'), and awkward prepositional use. These errors frequently distract the reader and cause some difficulty in interpretation, particularly in the concluding paragraph ('It convince the major point... but, it is must to not entertain...'). This performance aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors.
