Student answer (Band 5.0)
SCIENCE IS THE SOURCE TO STUDY ABOUT HOW ARE LIFE ARE CONNECTED WITH LIVING OR NON LIVING OR SNY FRICTION SURROUND US , HOW OUR LIFE ARE INTERCONECTED WITH EACHOTHER.
SCIENCE IS CONNECTED WITH US DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY .IN MY BELIEVE, MOST IMPORTANT AIM OF SCIENCE IS TO MAKE LIFE EASILY AND CONVEINENT .SCIENCE HAS MADE DRASTIC CHANGES IN EVERONE LIFE BY DEALING WITH OUR PHYSICAL AS WELL AS MENTAL AND SOCIAL HEALTH.
ANY INVENTION ON SCIENCE DONE BY ANY SCIENTIST OR RESPECTIVE PERSON IT DEFENITELY PROVIDE A ELIGIBLE AND EASY WAY TO DEAL.MANY EQIPMENTS ARE MADE FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSE REGARDING TO HUMAN CONVENIENT AND SAFETY. MANY TRANSPORTATIONS ARE MADE IN DIALY BASES LIKE BUSES, BIKES, CYCLES, TAXI ETC WHICH SAVES VALUABLE TIME OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO TRAVEL. IN MANY INDUSTRY THERE ARE MANY EQUIPMENT WHICH HELPS WORK TO BE DONE QUICK AND SAFELY . MANY INFRASTRUCTURE CAN BE ESTABLISHED AND MADE ON WORK.
FOR EXAMPLES: THE MACHINES IN BAKERY INDUSTRY TO MIX THE ITEMS IS USED SO THAT, TIME CAN BE MANAGED AND DEMAND CAN BE FULFILLED.WITHOUT SCIENCE OR MACHINES THERE PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK MANUALLY WHICH CAN TAKE MANY HOURS TO MIX IT AND MANY EMPLOYERS ARE ALSO USED , DUE TO WHICH TIME CANNOT BE MANAGED AND PRODUCTION WOULD BE LOW AND FINANCIALLY AFFECTED. THERE IS THE CHANCE OF ACCIDENTS OF WORKERS WORKING MANUALLY THERE WITH THEIR HANDS.
OVER ALL, IN MY OPINION, I THINK SCIENCE HAS MADE EVREYONE LIFE EASY AND CONVEINENT BY DEALING WITH DIFFERENT SECTORS THAT CAN BE ELECTRICITY, TRANSPORTATIONS, INDUSDTRY OR MANY OTHER.
THE MAIN REASON TO SUPPORT SCIENCE IS THE TIME MANAGEMENT. IN THE BUSY WORLD WHERE NOONE HAVE ENOUGH TIME ,SCIENCE HAVE MADE LIFE EASY.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that the main aim of science is to improve people's lives through convenience, health, and efficiency. The writer attempts to support this with relevant examples, such as machinery in bakery industries and modes of transportation. However, the ideas lack deep extension and development, often relying on repetitive phrasing rather than exploring broader implications. Key concepts like physical and mental health are mentioned in the introduction but left entirely undeveloped in the body paragraphs. Furthermore, the opening sentence contains extensive capitalization and disjointed fragments. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 5.0, where the task is addressed, but ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure, opening with an introductory statement, moving into body paragraphs with examples, and concluding with a summary. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and paragraphs are poorly defined, with capitalization used in place of standard formatting. Cohesive devices are minimal, mechanical, or inaccurate, such as the sudden shift into examples using 'FOR EXAMPLES:' followed by run-on structures. Referencing is frequently unclear, and the mechanical flow is disrupted by punctuation errors and erratic line breaks. This lack of controlled progression and cohesive control places the text firmly within Band 5.0 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a limited and basic lexical range. While there are attempts to use vocabulary related to the prompt, such as 'convenient', 'transportations', and 'infrastructure', these are frequently marred by word-form errors (e.g., 'easily' instead of 'easy', 'EQIPMENTS', 'DIALY BASES', 'INDUSDTRY'). Spelling errors are notable throughout the text (e.g., 'INTERCONECTED', 'DEFENITELY', 'EVREYONE'). Vocabulary control is weak, and the repetition of words like 'science', 'life', and 'easy' limits the precision of the writing, matching the Band 5.0 criteria where noticeable errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple structures, and attempts at complex or compound sentences are frequently faulty. There are significant and persistent grammatical errors throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues ('there people have to work', 'noone have'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('SCIENCE IS THE SOURCE TO STUDY ABOUT HOW ARE LIFE ARE CONNECTED'). Punctuation and capitalization control are weak, with entire opening lines written in uppercase letters. Because errors are frequent, cause frequent difficulty for the reader, and complex sentences are unreliable, the writing achieves a Band 5.0 for grammar.
