IELTS Writing Task 2 question

The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Science play an important role to improve the quality of day to day lifestyle. The significant point of science must be improve people's lifestyle. I completely agree with the statement.

To commence with, science and technology is incline day-by-day and inovates new for improve the person's live. Nowadays automotive company mainly focuses on the battery car which can be help in maintaing the pollution in the environment and also provide more features to the customers or the user. They don't produce harmful smoke in the sourrounding which directly effect on the person's and animals health. This all hapens due to science and technology. I think in future all the automotive industries will shift on the electric cars which make the peoples life easy and comfortable. Moreover, science develop many products which help in daily life like computers , mobilephones , sattelites and my other digital productswhich help a lot for managing the daily life routine they can help to connect many people at a time by a single device. For instance , in a survey conducted by Times Of India it was stated that 80% pollution is reduce in the metrocities like Mumbai , Delhi and Chennai by using the electric cars.

Furthermore, Science also doning develpoment in the medical sectors. They introduce new automatic surgery machine which totally operated by AI. It automatic do whole surgery process of the patient without any doctor requirement. Thsese new machines also detects the disease in the patient body and give the proper advice of the treatment.This is a crucial development of science in the field of medical line. Moreover most of the industries are automatic by the help of science and technology. There is no requrement of the local works in the industry. Machine can do all the things automatically with the help of artifical intelligence and machine learning. This also produce a large effect on the person's day life. To illustrate, in a study conducted by the WHO it was states that 70% hospitals in china are AI based.

To encapsulate, science and technology rapidly involves in person's daily life which make there work easy and effective . in automotives , Industry and in healthcare and many more which make the work easy . I compelety agree with the statement that The most important aim of science be to improve people's lives.

However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and mechanical or inaccurate use of cohesive devices, such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'To encapsulate'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is often faulty due to abrupt shifts in ideas, referencing errors (such as ambiguous pronoun use like 'They' and 'This'), and poor sentence-to-sentence linking. While the essay can be followed overall, the mechanical nature of the cohesion and the lack of smooth progression place it squarely at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student uses a limited, minimally adequate range of vocabulary for this academic task. There are frequent lexical errors and odd collocations that stem from incorrect word forms or translation effects, such as 'science play an important role', 'inovates new for improve', 'sourrounding', 'sattelites', 'doning develpoment', and 'local works'.
