where scince expriment to improve air pollution plant controller but it can effect our birds and enviorment so science should be aim to plant controller like that so it can't effect birds and enviourment by to clean water you have to clen like that it can'not disuse of water ans scince should be to use clean ane netural thing to use improve people lives.not like poisen chemical that not be use in water so which animal or birds to drink it can't effect birds.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt partially, establishing a clear personal position agreeing that science should aim to improve people's lives. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the writer mentions reducing air pollution and cleaning drinking water, but these points are under-developed and lack extension with concrete, well-reasoned examples. The arguments tend to circle back to the same general notions of avoiding toxic chemicals and protecting birds and the environment without deep exploration. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to present fully extended ideas with more specific explanations and robust supporting examples regarding how scientific advancements practically impact human living standards.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organization evident in the division of ideas into paragraphs, and the student attempts an introduction and conclusion. However, the text lacks a clear overall progression from one point to the next. Cohesive devices are often inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, with phrases like 'and in This topic I will elobrate' and 'where scince expriment' failing to create smooth logical transitions between sentences. Furthermore, referencing is at times unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact logical flow of arguments. To improve, the writer must use a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices and ensure that each paragraph builds logically upon the previous one with clear signposting.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that frequently cause difficulty for the reader. There are numerous spelling mistakes, such as 'Nowday', 'Pepole', 'becuse', 'elobrate', 'motercycle', and 'enviourment', alongside incorrect word forms and word choices like 'living lifestyle' instead of 'living standards' and 'unclen water'. The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive throughout the essay. To move up to the next band, the student must expand their lexical repertoire to include less common lexical items, improve word formation, and ensure accurate spelling to prevent communication breakdowns.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The writer uses a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple or faulty complex sentences. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, incorrect verb tenses ('science should be aim', 'where scince expriment'), missing articles, and awkward prepositional or clausal patterns. Punctuation is also problematic, leading to run-on sentences that lack proper structural boundaries. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader in grasping the intended meaning. To achieve a higher score, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of sentence structures with improved control over basic grammar, tense consistency, and punctuation.
