Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position—“I agree with this statement”—and offer relevant examples, including year-round availability of fruit and vegetables. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain in enough detail how scientific advances improve people’s lives, and the brief mention of “drawbacks” is not developed into a reasoned qualification. The final sentence is cut off (“People couldn't use personal in”), leaving the argument incomplete. The response contains 151 words, below the required 250; the 10 words copied from the prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, develop two or three specific reasons, explain their effects, and support them with clear examples before reaching a conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you begin with your opinion, move to examples of science’s benefits, and then mention possible drawbacks. Linking expressions such as “However” and “Not only…but also” show an effort to connect ideas. Nevertheless, the progression is difficult to follow because several claims are placed next to one another without explanation, and the response ends abruptly. For example, the connection between science and technology, affordability, and the claim that the environment is “blessed” is not made clear. Paragraphing does not yet establish a complete argument. Use separate paragraphs for your position, developed supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each sentence build on the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “science and technology,” “developments,” “drawbacks,” and “plays a crucial role,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is basic and several choices or forms are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “science is really blessed to human being” and “more accessable from before.” There are also spelling errors, including “accessable” and “fruites,” and repeated use of “science” and “people’s lives” limits variety. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling; for example, describe science as “beneficial to humanity” and say that it “improves access to” services or resources.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few different sentence forms, including the contrastive construction “Not only human being but also environment…” and the clause beginning “so that.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and punctuation sometimes obscure meaning. Examples include “in my opinion I agree,” which needs clearer punctuation or restructuring, and “Science plays a crucial in our life,” where the sentence pattern is incomplete. “It’s duty of human being that enhance science” also lacks a well-formed clause. The final sentence is unfinished, so it cannot communicate a complete idea. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles, plural forms, and subject–verb agreement.
