Student answer (Band 5.5)

The living criteria of individuals should be better by aim of science.people should focus on better understanding and highlight things which are essential for gaining more ways to enhance their lives.

I firmly believe that it is crucial for better residency and also it plays vital role in other circumstances. As ages ago there is no advance developments in life which is used by people to live comfortably and use resources. Additionally in today's world we have alot of new technologies which helps us to live in calm. In past there is no phone or a source of communication it is quite difficult to reach out. each other but if we compare this with today's world we can communicate with our friends anf family members even from one corner of world to another this includes voice call, video call and many other facilities.

The other thing which i think is medical opportunities as before there are no doctors or proper way of treatment but now we have a variety of solutions for a single disease also equipments and advance tools for treatment. our ancestors life is quite hard and not that easy however our life is quite easy and have all the facilities and things which are essential for a comforty amd easy to survive life.

In conclusion, I strongly agree with that perspective that aim of science should be helpful in enhancing and improving the way we live and grew up. It is an important field for surviving today's hardship and this harsh world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion: you strongly agree that science should improve people’s lives. You support this with relevant examples of communication technology and medical treatment, showing how science can make daily life easier and help people manage illness. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the examples are mostly asserted rather than explained in detail. For instance, you mention video calls and “a variety of solutions for a single disease” but do not show specifically how these developments improve people’s lives or consider whether science has other important aims. Develop each example with a clear explanation and a specific illustration, and maintain a consistent, explicit position throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an opening statement, two body paragraphs covering communication and medicine, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and transitions such as “Additionally,” “The other thing,” and “In conclusion” signal the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are joined in long, unclear sequences. The communication example, for instance, moves from the past to the present and then lists facilities without clearly separating the comparison from its significance. Some linking is also mechanical or imprecise. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence; use pronouns and linking phrases only where their references are unmistakable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small range of topic-related vocabulary, including “technologies,” “source of communication,” “medical opportunities,” and “treatment,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, vocabulary is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the response difficult to interpret. “Living criteria” does not express the intended idea, while “better residency,” “live in calm,” and “comforty” are not appropriate collocations or forms. Spelling and word-form errors such as “alot,” “anf,” and “advance” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing quality of life and scientific progress, and check collocations and spelling. For example, use “living standards” and “advanced medical equipment” rather than the less natural phrases in the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a comparison between communication in the past and today, and the response is usually possible to follow. However, the range of structures is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation appear in “Additionally in today's world…” and “each other but if we compare…”. There are also repeated problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “it plays vital role,” “technologies which helps,” and “as before there are no doctors.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, and check articles, subject–verb agreement, tense consistency, and capitalisation.
