Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that science enhances people's standard of life. This is topic which has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Some people believe that it has negative impact on peopl's lives, while others believe that science has raised the quality of our life by their discoveries. In my opinion, I completly agree with this statement. I believe that science has revolutionised in modern world for several important reasons, which will be explained in the following paragraph.
The first and most important reason why I agree with this statement is that science has revolutionised the way of every aspects such as medical department, transport and technology. There are several reasons why this is important. First of all, science has made a digital technology which make our life more easy. This means that digital technology made easy access to communication, remote work and education resources. As a result, people can interact everywhere regardless geographical barrier, access to any kind of information instantly at home and work from home. This can be especially important for society, because it enhances our standards of lives. Fore example, nowdays people can instantly connect with each other which are sitting at overseas and get a any kind online courses from their home , there is no need to go somewhere. This is good example of how science can have a positive effect on society. Therefore, I believe that this is one of the main reason why i believe science has changed people's lives.
Another important reason is that science has profound influence our medical department. This is also important point to consider because science invented new medicines and medical equipment which make people life more safe and increase life expactancy. As a result, people can live more and treat their disease. This can lead to improvement of their quality of life, which can be beneficial for people. For instance, many medicines and equipment like x-rays helps to detect the disease and doctors can find a cure for illnesses. This example clearly shows that it raised our lives. Because of this, it is reasonable to believe that science has improved medcal department. Therefore, this is another strong reason why i agree with this statement.
In conclusion, I completely agree with this statement that science has completly improve people's lives. A s discussed above, there are several reasons for my opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: science supports communication, remote work and education, and it advances medicine through medicines and diagnostic equipment. The examples of online courses and X-rays help connect these points to people’s lives. This meets the task, but the discussion is unevenly developed: the technology paragraph explains several benefits, while the medical paragraph mainly lists outcomes and does not show in detail how they improve daily life. The claim that science has “revolutionised” society could also be supported with a more specific example or explanation. Develop each main point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a precise example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Each body paragraph focuses on a separate reason, and signposts such as “First of all,” “As a result” and “In conclusion” make the overall progression easy to follow. However, linking is sometimes mechanical: repeated phrases such as “This is also important” and “Therefore, this is another strong reason” add little to the argument. Some references are unclear, including “this” in “This example clearly shows that it raised our lives.” The conclusion also repeats the position without drawing the two arguments together. Use fewer formulaic transitions, make pronoun references explicit, and connect each example directly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “digital technology,” “communication,” “life expectancy,” “medical equipment” and “detect the disease.” These choices allow you to discuss both technology and healthcare. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “peopl’s,” “completly,” “expactancy,” “medical department” and “a any kind online courses.” Some phrases are also vague or repetitive, such as “raised our lives” and repeated use of “important reason.” Aim for precise, natural combinations and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, refer to “medical advances” rather than a “medical department,” and describe science as improving people’s quality of life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause (“which make our life more easy”) and a cause-and-effect structure (“As a result, people can interact…”). Most of the argument remains understandable, and the paragraphs contain some complete sentences. However, there are some errors in agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction. For example, “technology which make” should use a singular verb, while “people’s lives” needs a plural noun; “science has profound influence our medical department” is missing a grammatical link and article. The opening also runs sentences together after “life.” Work on subject–verb agreement, article use and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence to ensure its parts fit together correctly.
