Science plays an important role in people's life. Some people believe that its main purpose should be to improve in people's lives. I completely agree to this statement because science helps us improve our health, aducation, and living standards.

Firstly science has made the great improvements in the field of medicine. In the past, many people died because effective treatements were not available. However, scientists have develop medicines, vaccines and different medical equipment to help doctor to treat patient more effectively.Forexample modren techonology allow doctor to detect the disease earlier and provide better treatment. As a result people can live longer land healthier life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you completely agree that improving people’s lives should be science’s main aim. You support this with relevant points about medicine and everyday convenience, including vaccines, earlier disease detection, household appliances and online learning. These examples address the question, but the two main ideas are not developed equally: the medical paragraph explains benefits and outcomes, while the technology and education points are listed with little explanation. The brief sentence about responsible research introduces a qualification but does not explain what risks or safeguards you mean. The response is also 33 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasoning. Extend the examples and explain how they support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a brief qualification and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages, and the medical example follows a generally logical cause-and-effect sequence. However, progression is weakened by abrupt or underdeveloped points, especially the standalone sentence beginning “However, I also believes,” which is not connected to an explanation or example. The second body paragraph moves quickly from appliances to communication and online study, making the relationship between ideas less clear. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the central claim rather than drawing together the reasons. Develop each paragraph around one clear point and use references and transitions to show how details connect.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “vaccines,” “medical equipment,” “living standards,” and “communication.” The examples are relevant, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less precise. Phrases such as “improve in people’s lives,” “made our daily lives more easily,” and “solve out their assignments” are not natural English; repeated references to “better” and “improve” also restrict variety. Spelling errors such as “treatements,” “modren,” and “convienent” are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “enhance quality of life” and “make daily tasks more convenient” would strengthen the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “However” and a result introduced by “As a result.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is usually understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “Some people believe that its main purpose should be to improve in people’s lives” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “I also believes” and “scientific research have” show subject–verb agreement problems. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “treat patient” and “a life.” Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are often inaccurate. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then add complex sentences with carefully checked agreement, articles and punctuation.
